16.10.2022 | Peniscola - Castillon 70 km |
|
Peniscola is a fantastic little town that is definitely worth a visit.
Tommen helped us finding as much dirt road as possible. Cycling on 28
tires was partly challenging. The same fine weather and tailwind. |

18.10.2022 | Valencia - Denia 93 km |
|
Valencia has a very good cycle path network. It was definitely the best part of the trip. We passed some amazing buildings on the way out of Valencia and cycled through large areas of rice fields and orange trees and abandoned holiday towns. |

19.10.2022 | Denia - Benidorm 64 km, 662 høydemeter |
|
We spent the night in a cozy little hotel in Denia. The place was off season so there weren't many open places to eat. but we don't need more than one. Today's cycling contained a number of uphills and a lot of trying and failing. |

20.10.2022 | Benidrom - Guardamar 82 km |
|
We followed the N332 all the way to Guardemar. We passed Alicante on the way and the cycling conditions were in contrast to Valencia. In Alicante, cycle paths were only partially developed and there was therefore a lot of in and out of them. It is both time-consuming and partly risky. |

21.10.2022 | Guardamar - Cartagena 72 km |
|
Instead of cycling the shortest way to Cartagena, we cycled to Santiago de la Ribera and took a boat across to Puerto Deportivo Tomas Maestre. The boat takes bicycles and costs 6 euros. The area is similar to Florida and provides good cycling conditions on to Cartagena. |

29.10.2022 | Malaga |
Citation Tommen: Around the world in 80 days didn't happen, but Barcelona - Malaga by bike took just under 80 hours. Nice trip, nice cycling friends, nice weather. We tested everything from Spanish roads, asphalt, path, gravel, concrete, water and a few km on the motorway. |
|
We had a bike-free day in Malaga and used the day to see the city. As usual, it was a relatively short sightseeing tour..... | |

Finished package and ready for check-in. Both are always a sweaty experience. It went well this time too and the bikes survived the transport. We have actually always had a positive experience when we send bicycles with Norwegian. |
